Canadian Open Quite Optimistic About Having Tiger Woods Play In Montreal

In the upcoming month’s RBC Canadian Open taking place at the Royal Montreal Golf Club, there is sure going to be few golf big shots; however, there is still a lot of room left for more. Bill Paul, the director of the tournament confirmed this Tuesday that Charl Schwartzel, Dustin Johnson, Chris Kirk, Charley Hoffman and Matt Every are going to be a part of the tournament. Tiger Woods, although hasn’t been playing for some time now, courtesy his injury, however woods as an option hasn’t been ruled out completely.

During the press meet before the tournament, Paul has confirmed that he is in talking terms with the officials of Woods. At present Tiger Woods is struggling with a back injury and is hoping to be a part of the British Open, which is just a week before the Canadian version of the PGA open kick starts.

Talking about whether or not Woods will participate in the tournament, Paul commented that he has had a word with his camp, however, at present there is no official word as to his fitness for the tournament. He further added that as a golf fan he sure wishes that he is fit and healthy before the tournament kicks off. He is quite sure that it is coming; however he doesn’t exactly know when since they are not giving an official statement about it, so he doesn’t have an option but move on.

Some has said a big no, while some seem in two minds while the rest few remain on the fence. All one can do is expect a commitment and stay in regular touch. Although, it hasn’t been confirmed yet by him, however it seems like Bubba Watson will be available for the upcoming tournament.
