Patrick Reed is an American professional golfer. He was born in 5 august 1990, in San Antonio, in the state of Texas. This university high school graduate from Baton Rouge, Louisiana currently plays on the PGA tour.
He has been playing golf since he was in school. Patrick Reed won his first important championship at the 2006 junior British open. He also qualified for the 2007 U.S. Amateur. In both 2006 and 2007 he led his school to the state championships. He was among the very few to have won the Rolex AJGA All-American honors in 2005, 2006 and 2007. After he joined the University of Georgia he immediately started his college golf career.
After a brief period till 2009 he was transferred to the Augusta State University. This current Business major helped to lead Augusta State University to the NCAA Division 1 Golf Championships in 2010 and 2011 consecutively.
After his NCAA championship Patrick Reed finally debuted in professional golf. On the 2011, June Patrick Reed played his first PGA tour event at the FedEx St. Jude classic. He just played 2 more events in 2011 and two more on the Nationwide Tour. During 2012 he played 12 events on the PGA tour. He was able to play on sponsor’s exemptions and Monday qualifying. He managed to earn his 2013 PGA tour card by finishing at T-22 at the qualifying tournament. He made total of seven cuts that earned him a whopping $300,000. During 2013 his best finish was at the Frys.com Open.
Finally in 2013 his professional golfing career took a turn for the better and allowed him to pick up his first Top- 10 finish at the 2013 AT&T Pebble Beach Nation Pro-Am. Again on august 18, 2013 Patrick Reed defeated Jordan Spieth in a playoff and win his first PGA Tour title.
